|

Hey people,
There is something I still do wrong on the 3 beat wave, I seem to always end up in the 2 beat wave as that was what I learned first and then I never got to take poi a bit more seriously untill now, almost 3 years later :P
I need to get my hand over the other without going all retarded, but what I would like to see is a video with a relatively good view of the hands thats going from a split forward swing to the 3 beat wave as I'm sure if I could just figure out how to get into it smooth it would be less dramatic for my poor little left hand.
(would be nice then I could put it in slowmotion for me to download to the brain)
Kinda got my Hip Reels, Shoulder Reels and Reel Turns sorted out yesterday finally so now I feel I can slowly focus on some extra moves to do aswell, it was alot more fun poiing than I remembered :P |

Yes the page was really great, just learned to go from split time into the wave aswell, still not smooth but now atleast I got rid of that getting stuck in 2 beat problem.
Thats kinda why I quit 3 years ago since people tried to teach me and i just didnt get it right and got annoyed by it :P
So kinda flying on pink fluffy clouds here, hope noone dont mind that |

Yeah, it feels great, then I know I got some basics to work with, I already notice the big diffrence it makes.
Whilst learning the backwards wave I just figured out witch hand would be the one of top for each side and I practiced first with my left side as fas as I could untill they got tangled, then I did the same for the right, then all of a sudden I went into the wave by myself.
Think that was a good way of doing it since I couldnt work out too much of the videos sadly, but atleast it worked |

Yeah sounds good- I am very impressed people seem to take ages to learn backwards not less than an hour!!! *claps* :D
Try 360 3bt weave- that looks good!!! |

Did a 360 and an 520 aswell ,is it possible to go a full 720 withour having a poi in the eye? :P *lol*
360 was pretty easy as its just a natrual extention of the 180, so that was good |

In this context the 360 weave is where you do a normal weave, then turn 180 so you're doing a reverse weave and then turn another 180 so you're back where you're started doing the normal weave.
And smiley it is possible, if you like making yourself dizzy! |
