J, Burning man is an awesome American based 8 day event, more precisely, in the Black Rock Desert that started out in the late 80's. Its got a massive community since it started, isn't it something like 37,000 people went last year?

It mainly involves self expression and self reliance. So you go out there, people make these huge amazing pieces of art and sculpture, as well as performance art and music.

Hopefully planning to go there next year or the year after, have to go at least once (^_^)

For more info in detail you can visit this page
Burning Man Wiki

or their home website

Or for an aerial photograph, go to Google maps and type this in

40.7692, -119.2200

Europe has it's own much MUCH smaller version called "NoWhere" which is only a 4 years young festival based in Spain near Zaragoza, more precisely near the village of Sarenena. I've been for two years so far (this year and last year) and I'm suitably impressed and determined to visit this every year if possible.

As I say it's a smaller festival, but number of attendants was in the two hundred mark this year, and it's steadily growing. As with burning man you have theme camps, this year we had the lemmings camp, the Arockalypse camp, the ninja camp, centre camp and more.

Also when the NoWhere Festival is over there are other EuroBurner related events such as Decompression and SuperCompression. Tho to attend these you need to enlist on the Euroburner Mailing List, then you should get the low down on absolutely everything going on within the community

here's the link to that mailing list if you want to subscribe to it
Mailing List

I hope I've been able to clean some of these things up with ya J!

But there's so much to tell tho, both events have their own respective websites that you can look up on.
