I seem to get myself lost during thread the needle, I manage to do it with the right hand then when trying the left I get all messed up.
Everything looks so easy, but it isnt untill you done it once :P
Almost forgot to ask the question, is there anything you should focus extra on when learning thisone? |

Right with the thread the needle you need to learn the pattern- thats all.
When spinning a forward butterfly you swap your arms as the poi go down on yourleft and right hand sides.
and thats the pattern. Easy when you know how!!! |

You know when you feel the bounce of the poi during the butterfly, at the top and at the bottom.
The move is all co-ordinated with the "bounce" at the bottom. At that point ur 1st hand ( bottom )goes back, and stroke it down the top your other arm, it should reach the front as the next "bounce" occurs - pull your other hand back and stroke it down your other arm. This one took me a while to get under my belt, dude keep at it, like everything with this stuff - it is all down to practice :D
Alot of these moves only work when they are on a constant beat and your hands have to work individually as well as each other to get these to work - do it slowly to start with, starting the stroke about two thirds up your lower arm, this helps get your hands used to the move. once you find the natural rhythmn in the bounce you will be able to shorten the arm stroking to passing the poi wrist over wrist - then you can go faster and it does look great!
I'm tryin the double Thread the needle - this is very Tricky!!!! Anyone got any words of wisdom about this move? i could use some!!!!!! :D |
