So heres the good bit, i was just having a small spin in my bedroom with my socks, (watching out for the light this time ) and i just got the buzzsaw like it was nothing!! well i was impressed anyways...
It looks fairly fairly good to begin with, but then my lefthand is so unresponsive, it kinda just goes wafty and ends up hitting my arm or i pull out before it happens.
Its the same with all other 'moves'(?) as well, obviously i expect my righthand to be more responsive and easier to control than my left, but its getting damn annoying now, even split time is anoying because my right hand just spins normally and then my left hand cant be controlled and it just ends up inline with the right arm!!
Short version: how do i get my left arm as responsive and controllable as my right one or at least more..?

Unfortunatly there is only one way to get your left hand as responsive. and thats with muchas practice.
Unfortunatly one hand is always over developed. I assume this comes from doing things with one specific hand more often. For example right handed people may find there right hand more coordinated.
Now imagine all the things you do, from writing to making a brew etc that develop one hand. Imagine how long you have been doing these things.
Now imagine how hard it is to get the other hand the same level.
Unfoprtuantly there is only one way around it. Practice!!! |

| Don't we just (¬_¬) I see these funky moves and whenever I try them it's my right hand that scuffs it up as if I'd wronged it in some way in the past life! |

try not to worry about it too much your brain will learn the movements I like to think poi is about doing whatever you feel like so just let it flow just let your hands do what they want to do thats why i like having a mp3 you go off into your own little world
if it helps I know timmi practices with his eyes closed have a friend with you if you do this with fire!!!

Did the buzzsaw with my fires today, got the adrenaline going!!
and i wrapped the chains round my hand once for the first go at it just to double check that it wouldnt come up and break my jaw or anything.. hehe.
Also got takeouts sorted, first time i ever really tried it today and the righthand was fine, got it sorted and done it on fires as well.
left hands a bit wafty still and i keep hitting my back/bum..
so im sticking to the socks on my left arm while it improves.
I guess the next step from here would be angel wings...correct?
even though wings are in basic and takeouts are intemediate |
