Kia Ora fellow spinners.
What a great site!!!
Happened apon it while looking for some info for school.
I will be giving poi lessons to the kids in feburary so hopefully help to spred the joy.
I will surely pass on this link to the students so hopefully some young blood to the site and in the forum. They are Dutch speaking so don't quite know how much they write but I hope they get the bug.
Myself, well I'm a kiwi ( yep da home of poi, beautiful New Zealand) and am now living in Holland teaching at a middel school.
I think the kids will get a kick out of making and using their poi's and hopefully join the poi community which is full of so many interesting and real people.
So to all out there Gidday and to the Admin from this site, thanks for such a wonderful resource, way to go.
Heading out to Holland or Germany an need a place to crash drop us a line we'd love to meet ya.
Cheers,

hey kiwirobin from the land of poi..
cheers for the feedback re the site, glad you like it!.
Fair play for bringin Poi to your class, the more kids spinning poi the better - lots of people over in the UK are beginning to teach poi to children @ school or @ after school clubs and I haven't heard of anyone who's had negative feedback from the kids.... Maybe there'll be some big International Poi Comps out there soon, all the more likely if kids today are getting the exposure to poi from an early age, there'll be some killa little spinnaz out there!...
Have a chilled time in Holland!

Kia Ora all,
well the lessons have started at school and they love it.
Started with making own poi and learnig basic moves, some cool music and the free expressionism is coming out. Sooo cool to see.
Will get some photos and hopefully a vid to share with you all soon.
I have ofcourse recomended poipoi to all so hope for some more hits here soon and maybe fresh blood to the forums.
Darkangel it's good to know ya and great that your joining in the forums, I love to hear what you think and how young people like to poi, don't forget that you can progress poi even further and teach us oldies new tricks.
Let your limmits go for the stars and share your joy.
Good on ya mate.

(p.s. Kia Ora? Over here (the soggy old United Kingdom) that's a kind of orange juice.... I take it the meanings differnt in NZ? Or do you just really like oranges?? ) |
