Hey, I'm not sure, they're just like tailed poi but with sticks instead of cords arent they? I would have thought the moves are pretty similar. I've got a friend who does escrima (a fighting style with two sticks) and he can do some pretty awesome display stuff with em. Have you tried throwing and catching them? That'd be way cool!
Edit: Eeek! I was getting mixed up with poi poi ribbons.. Anyway yeah they look to me as pretty much the same as normal tailed poi, just a little shorter! |

Yeah I can do throw outs with them- they look pretty cool, but they are qa bit restricting- I can't buzzsaw with them which has made me sad!!!
I guess they are the same- but I was wondering if anyone knew what moves look really good! |

| Moves with lots of lock-outs in the middle look really good with flag poi. Eg. Big split time circles from the weave with as many lock outs in there as you can fit! |

flag poi it's beautiful... and the moves are the same with normal poi, or fire poi, or cobra poi, or [...] poi... but some moves cannot be done cause of the "flag"...
and, for sure, you need to be strong, cause when i spin a flag poi, for 2 minutes, it's the same as 1 hour of academy! =P
just kidding, still trying and impressioning will be easy! |

They are much easy now- I seem to have got the flow!!
I know- I can't do some of favorite moves- but oh well they make others look sooooooo much better.
Throws outs for example look cool and they are easier than normal poi (cause of their size!!!)
I have been putting lockouts and stuff into everything- and am getting better- my arms don't burn anymore lol!!! |
