You can also look for socks with very little stretch to them. But yeah.. making sure they are equally weighted will help |

I like stretch in socks. Allows for more vartiety on moves etc!
If you spin faster your circles automatically get larger.
But thats only my opinion |

or if ya dont like stretchy ones and you have a pair just spin them as hard as you can for about 5mins and all the stretch will come out or yeh just buy non strechy socks lol |

They are better for wraps imo.
especially the lycra or acrillic (whatever it is) ones that are sold on here :D |

Well I now have 2 sets of poi I use. My sock poi and the ones I just bought which are heavier bean bag poi with actual finger loops.
I notice that switching back and forth is defiiiinitely a different feel. My socks are so much lighter. I got the beanbag ones as a work up to firepoi weight.
Still it is 10x more fun (haha) being hit in the head with my sock poi. Yay sock poi! |

i already have home made poi, me and my dad made them from tennis balls, string and some swivels! they are my favourites cos they are a good weight and they have nice long strings which i just wrap round my fingers if i need them shorter... they dont look particularly amazing but theyr great fun 2 use...
anyway, i will be investing in some sock poi in the near future... woo!!
thanks for the info
