My sock poi are getting really grubby. I took them to a fire event and used them after i did some fire, and they got a bit sooty and generally horrible. They just generally need a spring clean
Is it safe to put them in the washer/tuble dryer, or is there any other way i can clean them.
Thanks for your help |

Sock poi as I understand are lycra (every womans worst nightmare, makes ya itch like mad).
Dont iorn or tumble lycra, it will melt or shrink or loose its stretch because its synthetic.
Cold wash with water and a little detergent, leave to air dry on the line, dont wring them out just let them drip dry, this way they keep their elasticity.
I had many a pair of cycling shirts loose their elasticity because I put em n a hot wash.
Oh yeah and wash darks seperateley. |

| Just don't put the bleach on it direct, bleach in general will weaken fabrics, just don't do it over time, other products like oxy clean and stuff are supposed to be easier on materials. Just make sure you hand wash em. Certain materials like wool and rayon will react to agitation whilst others like cotton react poorly to heat (shrinkage). |
