Corkscrew and Matrix

Hi guys, long time lurker first time poster.

Have gotten it into my head that the Matrix'd be a fine thing to learn - can't play about on the horizontal plane nearly as happily as I can on the vertical ones. Have seen it once or twice on various videos and can't for the life of me work out where anything goes.

Any advice on learning it would be gratefully received. Smile

is the matrix like a double corkscrew (as in 2 rotations above and below instead of the normal one?)

Ah, no, sorry. Am reasonably happy with the 4bt corkscrew in either direction. Think the move's named Matrix after the slow motion bullet dodging sequence in ... well, the Matrix.

It's a bit like a giant windmill horizontally. Only you lean back as well. Chap does it in Black and Blue about 5:07 in. Though the move just before it is also awesome :D

Am guessing it's back to knocking myself on the head if no one's heard of it though.

I think i may have taught myself that one without knowing it, I will try to get a vid up on here soon, to see if i am right...but i got it from spinning with my eyes closed and just feeling the move. see it in your minds eye and your body will fallow the patern. give it a try and let me know if it helps.

Oh yeah I do that all the time, and yeah it does look like the guy dodging bullets in the matrix.

Its a 4 beat with a lockout in the middle at the top and bottom, when the poi are above your head you lean back like your dodging bullets and when it comes back round to the front you can bend forwards into it before taking it back up.

I think thats it anyways, I never knew it had a name though. Its probably harder than what im making it out to be...I could be wrong!
