sorry about the lack of posts of late! i was just starting to get involved then had to come back to uni to work and guess what, tiscali are so shocking that the poi website wouldnt work !!
anyway, my home made sock poi are becoming a hazard (to me and my poor fingers), what id like to know is whats the difference between the cobra and cobra 2? should i go with them or get some proper sock poi?
and most importantly of all, what colour?!
nothing like poi and grilled meats on a sunny afternoon eh |

Cobra II's are the same as Cobra I's apart from that alll the parts are interchangable. The tails for example are removable, and youcan remove the tennis balls out of them and swap for different weights and stuff.
There basically there good if you do poi in places where they could get dirty, or ripped and you may want to make them nice again without buying whole new ones.
As for colours, I allways liked the black and red because they dont show rubbish up on them as easy |

I'd get something heavier than tennis balls as well. My mate got a set the other week and they just feel too light.
Still nice to spin though, and have a great quality feel to them |

the interchangeable head weights are a godsend, as i agree that they are very very light for my normal spinning style

If you want some glo poi go to the entertainer.
A set for £15. Very much like the nightburst from here but with a logo on the poi and nothing on the handles. The LED units are quite sturdy, but one of mine doesn't work to well with three batteries in. Works great with 4 in though :D |

i found playing with stalls a mission
but they're funky little moves.
moves from the 'looks easy but really isn't' category. So you can laugh at your friends when they try :p |

That very one. My one lED has a real bad contact though. Need pliers to get it to stay on. Works fine with 4 batteries in though. Reminds me, must go to pounland to get some batteries. |
