yeah learn more tricks.
Focus on acing a move before you worry about flailing into another one with it.

If you break down all the poi moves they land in two basic categories

Butterfly movies

Weave movies

Try linking all your butterfly moves together so like behind the head, behind the back... turning if you can do it.. than try linking all the weave moves together... windmill, 3 bt, 360 weave etc...
than dabble a bit.. feel the flow.

Hope that helps.

Don't get too caught up in terms but what people often refer to as a weave is called the three beat weave.

If you were to start doing your weave and drop one hand and see how many turns it does..(we'll use your right hand for conversation sake ) Well it does one spin on your right and two on your left.

The left hand should be doing one turn on your left.. two crossed over to your right.

Or you can look at it this way, You're spinning.. your right hand goes under your left when the poi are on your left.
Then your left hand goes under your right when you spin on your left.

Is that totally confusing or make sense? lol lachtot

Stupid words.. much harder than showing aint it?

Imagine there is a drum next to your thigh.
Every time your poi hits (well, goes through) that drum, thats one beat.
So if it's a 3 beat weave, the drum gets hit 3 times on EITHER side of your body.
5 beat - 5 times.
Etc.
