Hi everyone,
I am new to poi - my practise ones arrived this morning! :D I'm a professional dancer and I'm hoping (eventually!) to add poi to my repertoire.
I've already had a brief surf of the site - lots of information to digest, and I look forward to getting know people in the lovely world of poi! :D

hello there(^_^)
So! your a dancing pro! i wish i could dance let alone be a pro
Welcome to the forum my friend! Yeah there's plenty of information on here at your disposal! If you've just started then you should visit the tuition page! those videos were damned helpful when i first started out!
Also if theres more tricks that arent on the video page that you want to learn! just go onto the discussion topics and ask away! theres bound to be at least three people there that can answer any questions you might have at all!
Have fun and happy spinning my friend! (god i sound like bob ross!!)

Allo allo!
Man, if you can dance AND poi - you'll look fantastic. I can't dance for shiz, but I can do quite a lot of technical moves. Unfortunately it would be a lot better if i could move along *with* them!
Yeah do what davey says n get on those tuition pages and watch our lovely Tony Grumbles

Hi
I've been practicing for a while now and I'm just working up to a 3 beat weave - which is proving a tad challenging but the tutorials are great; they've been so helpful!
As for dancing - it definitely helps with coordination. Plus I've found that I get better results if I practise to music. Anything with a strong rhythm really makes a big difference. I have tried out a few dance moves whilst spinning but I'm a long way off combining the two well enough to venture out in public! |
