| well it depends what your preference is for a good first set of fire poi yes defo, if your after some practice poi i would go for some socks or flags £30 is like $50 - $60 i think but dont hold me to it. :D |

| Those are the one's I've got. They are pretty good, I haven't been disapointed by them at all, although i'm sure you could get better one's if you were a pro, those are good for the price (IMHO). Feel nice to swing aswell. |

Nobody's said how to light them heh, you need to soak them in paraffin OVERNIGHT before your first spin, then for a few mins before each spin after that.
Some people find it helps if just before you put them away, after a hard nights flinging fire in people faces, you give them a quick dip in the paraffin just to keep em sweet!
You ever spun fire before? How long you been spinnin the ol poidiepoi? |

| Should also mention that they take a little while to light, they don't just go straight up in flames (I was expecting that first time, and got a little worried). |

They will go straight up if you spin them continously and don't give the cores a little time to cool.
Will also evaporate a lot of your white spirits  |

| Actually ive never done fire poi..nor any other poi..so ive come to the realisation that if i start with fire, its an accident waiting to happen..haha..i think ill get some of the glow ones, they seem fun and good to start with. |

if youv never span poi before, i recomend a good set of mouse poi
thats what i started on... nice weight and nice 2 spin
