hey hey. stick a hello in the introductions forum!
Hip reels can be tricky to get your head around. remembermainly that:
Your poi are spinning both the same way (i.e. both clockwise)
Each poi is making a figure of eight with a part in front and a part behind.
Try to nail one arm at a time first only holding one poi, then put that poi down and use the other arm, then try and put it together! |

I know I didn't bother learning hipreels for a while, which I regretted as I now find them a nice move for a bit of a flourish here and there.
My advice would be to try it out with one poi at a time watching your planes, get them spot on if poss. Then stick 'em together.
Hope you get it soon!

| I think some people find them harder (like me, can do 5Beat and BTB 5 beat but not hip reels) because one has to go behind on the upwards swing and one one the downwards. Its hard to synchronise if you dont have that kind of brain. |
