Aww I was under the impression that Bowie did it but thats ok, the special effects must have been ace for its time.
Cool film, I always remember that 13 hour clock, I so want one! |

special effects were well cheap the guy hid behind bowie under his cloak and stuck his arm under bowies so you couldn't tell whose arm it was that's my GF's favourite film she was watching it last night when I got home |

oh wow a CJ thread
i love my contact balls, its always nice to buy a new acrylic ball.on their own the are beautiful objects and even more so when being juggled with.it looks soooo easy to do, but its gotta be one of the hardest things iv ever done, but it also has to be one of the most satisfying |

I've been considering taking up contact juggling.
It's beautiful and mystifying thing. |

Ooo... I didn't realise there was a CJ thread here!
Felix man, if you're short of cash have a stroll around somewhere like Wilko. One near me sells furniture and "ornamental" stuff. Other places with similar are good too. Every now and again you see things that are great to contact with and are dirt cheap. Like I bought some painted wooden spheres (around 4" diameter) once from The Pier. They were on sale, so I got 4 of 'em for a quid each!
I have a collection of assorted spheres these days!
(Mind you, I also sweet talked my local juggling shop into knocking a couple of quid off a clear acrylic for me once... )

Incidentally, it's not actually Bowie doing the juggling in that film. It's actually 80s juggling legend, Michael Moschen (incidentally, the same guy who coined the name "Contact Juggling"). Look him up on YouTube -- the man is simply amazing! |

Sounds like one of mine, actually. The one I use in this video: Link!
Because it's hollow, it's awkwardly light, but I love it because it's got good visibility, and everyone expects a chrome steel ball to be heavy.
Picked it up from a random gift shop for about 75p (they have 'em in all sizes from that one up to ones bigger than a football). |
