|
|
| I was trying to switch from a butterfly tangle (butterloop is a cooler name methinks-kudos jayne) into a hyperloop, i get that the idea is you knock one of the poi midway to make them go in the same direction, but i keep doing it wrong, hmmm, anyone know a video with it on or just slap me and tell me what im doing wrong.. |

i tried that butter-to-hyperloop thing, but it doubles up so i cant get out of the hyperloop. I'm hitting one poi, and making it go the other way? Should i be knocking it like, straight down or something?
Gawd.
I did find another one which looks pretty snazzy and technical if pulled off. I can do it about 1/5 times heh. You're in your butterloop and you catch both poi on your wrists, then you spin it horizontally and get into a corkscrew. |

lol, imagine, the yogi is on a secluded beach, legs crossed, levitating in deep meditation, with two, no six kevlar heads a-flame slowly orbiting him, wouldn't that be cool, maybe if you jump into a cross-legged position whilst say, doing a butterfly, and had a photo taken at the right moment, you could call it a 'yogi' or 'buddha' heh...
shuts up... |

You've just got to twat it with the other hand, and move your body around
As butterfloops are in wall plane, you've either got to move the poi into the wheel plane (mighty hard) or move your body around the poi so they're in wheel plane (easy).
Its a tricky one to do, it just takes practice.
Hope this helps! |

You dont have to move your body round. It depends how you enter the butterfly airwrap. You need to knock whichever poi is on the bottom of the tangle. Catch your butterfly airwrap on a down beat and look which one goes over the top. You need to tap back the OTHER one or it will unwrap.
If you start with the butterfly airwrap in front of you, with the left poi on top, tap the right poi back the other way with you left hand. It nearly hits this hand on its way past anyway. That take you into a forwards inf hyp in wallplane on your left side
I dont think the link worked before so its here (this move is in there a few times but look at 45 seconds)(Oh and its old so please excuse the timing of the infs!)....
Loops
Good luck! |

U can but only for half a beat or so otherwise they wrap over and over. You have to take it to buzz so it comes up through your arms then out the other side to avoid tangling. Lesson on DMP |
