just spin a normal butterfly bring your hands together and put the other poi inbetween one of your fingers on the same hand as the other poi i prefer to put it between my pinky and the other one i dont know the name of... RING FINGER i remembered lol. but you can put inbetween any of em. and the motion is pretty much exactly the same. have fun Smile

I know someone who can do it well too. But it took her a bit to get it. And i have seen many people fail.

I wish you luck

dude i love the one handed tricks!!(^_^) can do windmills, butterflies, angel wings, i think its 4 and 6 bt weaves..tho cant be sure! but thats nothing! this guy i know ThaiTom, he can do butterflies with his teeth...now THATS messed up! and he was doing it with fire!! i find the best way to do one hand butterflies and angle wings tho, is whilst moving your hand up and down, twist your wrist like your unlocking a door with a key (right hand twist your wrist anti clockwise - left hand twist clockwise)

I am the one AJ is talking about. I didn't find it hard but its just finding the right postition of fingers to stop it catching. I kinda put my index finger up a bit so the raise knocks the outside one out a bit. Once you can do butterfly, angel wings is easy.

Best way i found to do 1 handed butterfly is to start with regular butterfly, decide which hand your gonna do the move with (hand 1 so to speak), and then slip the poi from hand 2 into the space between your fingers below where the poi is on hand 1, keeping your timing steady. Then move your hand up and down like your shaking hands with somebody. This keeps the poi from meeting and crashing. Once you got the movement going you can switch to moving your hand side to side then move your free arm up, stick it between where the poi cross and wrap both poi round it, then pull back so they spin off in the opposite direction, or 1 handed angel wings e.t.c. The possibilities are endless Smile

its really easy doin it with mouse, coz they hav only 1 finger strap to swap over. I call 1 handed butterflys "Suicide" butterflies, gets it a more sinister name to it :P
iv been doin them for a while now, took me a while 2 get the timing just right

oh balls lol my water bottle leaked and soaked my sockpoi lol

What confuses and dazzles me about the one handed bf is that you can start doing inwards bf, then do it with one hand, then take them apart with the hands they didnt start in and it turns into outwards!
