I have a theroy about music. But first I must introduce some physics.
A wave will only oscillate at a certain frequency. There are an infinite amount of frequencies to choose from, but it only oscillates at exact fractions of wavelenths eg 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 etc.
So I was thinking maybe people have a 'wavelength' that their ears or brain or whatever you feel music with inside you is tuned to.
You know, how one song will make you move, no matter what, even if you're sitting, and others are just so not your type that it makes you feel physically uncomfortable listening to it, but everyone is different.
Maybe?
Well, thats my crazy idea.

I cant hear bass sounds, I have inverted ear lobes that pretty much deafen me when theres alot of trebble in music to the point where my ears have bleed. On my old television it was very trebbely and it killed my ears so I was always turning it down to the point where my friends couldnt hear it.
Now I have a sub :o)
I can only feel bassy sounds so when im listening to music, I either go overkill on the bass and distort it or it sounds really trebbely, I just forget the bass is there sometimes.
It doesnt stop me from listening to any types of music though, as a child I found classical music easier to listen to and enjoyed it alot, still do. |
