Hi all, saw a fire poi artist performing at my friend’s 21st and thought that it looks absolutely amazing. While down in Margate over the Easter Holidays I decided to buy some poi from the local kite shop. I figured, rather start simple and then progress on to playing with fire, third degree burns just isn’t my thing.
I found that with my basic martial arts training swinging the poi came almost naturally. Even without having practiced I managed to perform quite a few moves – Butterfly, Chasers, 3-Beat Weave…
I’m in and around Gauteng (Johannesburg) and was wondering if any of my fellow South Africans close by enjoys Poi.

hello!!!

im from south africa too!

except i moved to the UK about 2 years ago!

didnt see many people in SA doing poi so only started when i got here

im from brakpan xD

lol funny stuff!
