thats a video of the orbits ive figured out its basicly 2 strings tied to lights that are connected and all u have to do is spin them and pull but i cant figure out exactly how its made properly |

I'll see if I can explain a bit. Not good at this sort of thing though.
I remember having these as toys when I was a kid, but without the lights. If you imagine a disc with 2 holes in it (like a large button), and you pass a piece of string through the first hole, and then back through the second hole and tied to itself. Basically you have a loop of string with a button fixed on it. Then you take a loop from either side of the button and slide the button into the middle of the loop. All you need to do then is hold each end and swirl (best word I can think of to use) the button so that it twists the string. Then when you pull the string outwards again, it spins the button. As you get to the untangle point, you relax the tension and the buttons momentum twists the string the other way.
Leds etc. and the club scene I'll leave up to you, but that's the principle. |
