Hi All,

Bought some cobra II poi recently, and gettin there, just about got the 2bt and 3bt weave, butterfly and windmill - but this is obviously not without a fair few beats from the poi.

Just wondering, by slitting the tennis balls, im presuming this will reduce impact and make the 'having children to poi' ratio a bit better? or does slitting the tennis balls have any other implications to swinging?

Cheers

Gaz

Hi and welcome!

I just recently started doing poi and made slits on my tennis balls so the impact was bareable (you can also hide the tails in your slits when transporting them around). I started doing wraps the other day and found that my socks with slits in the balls didnt wrap and bounce back round as well as balls without the slits. I now have a pair of each some with slits for air only moves and another pair without slits for contact moves.

This is a case of pain versus control, depending on the move your pulling off.
