Aarons been juggling for about 2 and a half years now so that might explane why your not at his standard yet. Hes only really learnt alot in the past 6 months though from going to a juggling club. I am sure there is one in your area, infact I'll just look for you....Ohh god news mate, just found a gig going your way on HOP here for info... and heres a thread for meets in manchester for you click, click. |

My best advise to develop your own style would be to just poi to the music you love. The music that makes you move. I sometimes like to find a reflection, such as a window to poi infront of. You can see what looks good for you. Its alot quicker than setting up a video camera and filming yourself.
Finding what planes suit you too. If you know about planes then you should start finding ways you can make them work for you. Explore more than just wall planes, try mix it up abit. Go atomic with your moves and really work a personal style in there.
Try put some speed varation into your poi sets. What i do is i figure out a nice routine and well i did several months ago. What i have done since then is replace certain moves with new moves i have learnt.
Most important tip though HAVE FUN. if your NOT having fun, your doing something wrong. your style is your style. :D :D :D |

Ah, that'll be why then! I've been doin it about a week, lol. and thanks for them links, i've been to a couple of those HoP meets but i'm usually busy on a sunday so cant go to em often. :( They're pretty good everyones dead friendly and you get to see loads of different styles of spinnage! Dont think i'll be able to manage that gig either, bunch of drunken uni students watching me is a scary thought!
That's good advice as well  I sometimes just get lost in the moment when spinning to some mint tunes in front of the french windows in my garden.. I cant think of routines though i just end up making it up as i go along, i think its more fun that way! |
