Reversing tricks is difficult so just work on one direction for now.

With your hyperloops, to get your poi to untange they must have an even number of beats in the buzzsaw plane. I find reverse hyperloops a lot easier, so maybe it would help to start with them? Eventually you don't need to count and you just get a feel for when to bring it back into the weave.

With a barrel roll, for example from right to left, your right poi goes under your left arm, and your arms rotate, when your arms are parallel vertically to each other with your right arm on the top, open your arms towards your left side, then you should be able to exit it cleanly.

These are both difficult moves so keep on trying!

oh right, then you gotta stretch your arms out a bit more whilst you do the trick to make sure theres a big enough gap between your chest and wrists.

Parrot tails are lovely poi. What are you looking for in your practice poi?

good idea to wait to try fire poi. very wise of you. tis a real buzz when you do get into it though!

Parrot tails are nice but dont have regular fingerloop handles, they're just one big loop. Beautiful coloured tails though. Cobra II's are very good also but I reccommend Mouse Poi cos they're short and spin at a nice speed without hurting if they hit you! Definitely my favourite daytime poi besides socks.

If your finding the poi a bit too long for the trick try wrapping them round your hands a turn to make them a little shorter, I use this for buzzsaw and also some wraps that I havent completeley mastered.

I can recommend Mouse poi Smile

I also like double finger loops (got em from cheap glopoi so are a bit crappy) as you seem to be able to get more control from them, or at least that's my opinion.

Mouse poi are gorgeous to spin though, I recommend them to any one who wants a good set of practice poi that are good quality and don;t hurt Smile
