Hello you wonderful people!!

Right you guys I have condensed this thread down so no one has to trawl through it for information etc, everything from now on regarding the fest will be here, i will edit this post to deliver news and what not!!

News! 26/09/07

Hello again everyone! Wow a week and 2 days since update!! Sorry about that. This is just a small update!

1)- Ok all, I have pm'd around the place in regards to the meeting, I think (as far as I'm aware) that Emma and Phil will be happy to attend. Felix and 13 have also expressed interest in meeting up to sort this thing out. I have also sent word to a couple of other people so if you could check you PM's please!!
It won't all be official, we'll go for a drink / spin / both afterwards!!

2)- 13 has gladly started constructing a template of sponsorship that will be sent out to various potential sponsors. He requests any ideas on who to contact in terms of the sponsorship, so if people could hunt around for any prospects, it will move things forward in terms of establishing where we're at!

That's all for now folks! thanks again!

if we could get a day, night then another day in that'd be great, obviously within that time we can squeeze in set-up and take-down and obviously as the Euro-Burner policy says! "Leave No Trace!"
Ok so we make up both fun and funny games with the most ridiculous prizes, a funny one whilst i think about it was bosom pillows down in a shop near me hehe:P
did make me chuckle!
For music I'm sure we could provide our own seeing how i think a lot of peoples tastes on the forum are similar; if anyone or anyone you know is a competent DJ that would be absolutely ace as well!

Laurie, my lovely boyo, is a DJ (or an up and coming one :P) he's not professional or nuthin (yet!!) but I will chuck the idea at him and see if he's brave enough to do it.
He plays a lot of house and trance if thats what the audience needs.

well im sure everyone will be good n not litter n if they do they have to drink a cup of water hanging upside down from a tree.

i do actually know a really good DJ n is a good friend of mine who does some hardcore drum and bass and dance. DO you have the means for tents or indoorness. a renegade night would be fun if you could get a makeshift stage. N i dont mind teaching ppl some shiz.

personally i think the first step is find location ( the nearer to manc the better Razz ) then a rough ammount of numbers that Could attend because there is no point booking DJ n tents if only 5 ppl show.

any help is appreciated! so are any stalls!

Well JoKit there hasn't been any thoughts on location yet as people are very wide spread, I'm working on a cunning plan to rectify this!
Right here's the thing guys and gals, we need to get together a proper organizational list of stuff that we will need to consider, if everyone could come up with a list, I'll amalgamate it all into one organized list to post up!

Just a thought on location...why don't you make it in the midlands somewhere, that way its about equal for everyone to get to (that's what my family does every year when we have a family reunion!)?

so first on the list is Location lol.

Location
Accomodation??
Facilities
Whether or not there'll be live entertainment
Whether or not there will be stalls
How many people will need to be catered for
Time
Are we gonna get done by the choppers
If it's a large thing, will we need a council's permission before we begin

doesnt have to be many, play only had six i think and they did just fine Smile.

Ok Venue doesnt have to be massive a good sized field is a winner Smile

Tents how many?

Music - easily done IMO

Volunteers - Also easily done i think

Workshops + performances

Food + drink?

Stalls?

ummmmmm aint that a festival lol?

well the first thing would be list everything that is going to cost and find prices and venue capacity so you can organize ticket prices. blah blah Smile

Ok here's our to do list thus far!!

1) Location and travel
2) Toilets
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)
9)
10)

Ok guys for this a few of us will have to go check out a few possible locations and speak to the land owners about it. So if a team of say four people wanted to volunteer that'd be ace, I'm all for traveling around!
