Steps:

1 - Try spinning the poi parallel (both at the top of their circles together) and then do some body crossing.

2 - Split time (one poi at the top when the other is at the bottom) and do split-time body-crossing.

3 - Try to add the third beat.

Woop!!

Pretend that you're holding the steering wheel of a car, turning left to right to left to right etc, no really exagerate the movements Smile

I'm having real difficulty learning to do a backward three beat weave. I can do split time bodycrossing with my left hand on top but when I try to practise it with my right hand on top I just can't work out how to do it.

practice the same with forward(with one arm out infront spinning only 1 poi) but instead of over under out go under over out, kinda hard to imagine but when u get it you'll know what i mean

Got this down a while back.. some tips....

1. repeat your hand movements verbally as you do them i.e circle, under , over, circle, under, over... *pois at her desk to figure out the motion*

2. Try one hand at a time to check your planes are straight

3. Try spinning a f/w 3 beat on your left side and the turning your torso and hands to the right.. your hands should then swap over with out thinking about it.

When learning any reverse moves, don't be afraid about looking messy. Keeping the from tangling is the key, because once you get the motion down, you'll have no trouble cleaning it up. Seriously, the first reverse weave I ever did was so shambolic it was unbelievable! Laughing
