Ok so ive been meaning to try the wiggle for a while, finaly thought a sunny friday afternoon would be a good time for it
So after a few bumps and bruises i can do whats needed split time, but i cant get it so its going just one beat behind the other.
Does any one know of any clips on the net where i can see clearly what it looks like? im not completely sure which never helps when trying to learn something heh
Cheers |

| This is a great move for dancing and a personal favourite of mine. It is in the Poi spinning book and can be done inwards, outwards or with 1 hand going inwards and the other outwards. I learn't the outwards wiggle 1st. Start with 1 poi and do reels- 1 behind the shoulder, 1 by the hip and then a carry in front back 2 the shoulder and repeat the sequence- shoulder, hip, carry (3beats) and then learn with the other hand. for both hands whilst ur leading hand is doing it's shoulder reel, start the carry with ur other hand. Keep following ur lead hand 1 beat behind- carry, shoulder, hip. When you've mastered this try turning 360- it looks fab! |

| The parallel time version is an extention to outwards angel wings with an extra beat by your hips- known as the extended reel. The wiggle is the alternated version and is like butterfly- but if you learn to do the move in both directons with each hand it can be linked to weave moves like the windmill or the fountain. |

Ohkay....
Firstly, I kinda understand this, what your essentially doing is linked hip and shoulder reels with a turn at the top and a turn at the bottom. Well I got the turn at the bottom on the hip reels but the shoulder turn is a little harder. I see some guy doing this and he was sidestepping and crouching all over the place, looked stunning!
Secondly, I am practicing this parallel at the moment but I would assume that you could do it split time? Any information would be great.
Perhaps even a wee video!!

| If you can do outwards angel wings go from there, lower you arms and arch you back 4 the shoulder reels (1 circle), then bring both hands down to do a circle behind hips, then bring them in front of you (your arms will cross as you do this) then take ur arms up and behind your head to repeat the circles behind your head-and hey presto that's an extended reel! The wiggle is this split with 1 hand leading and the other following 1 beat behind. Will try and sort a video 4 u.x |
