Sitting there doing the motions of poi while your office mates glare at you in sheer disgust and yet a sense of intrigue!

yeh you can so exactly the same motion with butterfly buzzsaw. And elipses are basically cutting the same except your goin from 3 to 9 one hand at a time Smile

antispin for example is poi fw but arm movement backwards.

so for your buzzsaw fountain your arms will be making a big circle the same way as your poi aintispin will be your arms making a big circle the opposite way to the poi.

if you do butterfly buzz fountains one will always be antispin as they are spinning opposite Smile

hope that made sense :D

I made this for another thread, but I thought it might be useful on this one too, for anyone who's still not sure on these things...

For a full fountain, you're aiming to make 4 big circles in the air (see my lovely little picture here). It's basically a 180 turn and then another 180 turn back.

Here's an attempted talkthrough...

1. From a forwards weave, the first circle is your entry into the fountain. Just a normal circle.

2. As you go into the turn, bend your knees and make a low circle (around where your knees are).

3. You're now in a reverse weave. Just for one circle though. Smile

4. As you turn back, bring your arms up, making a circle around head height.

1. Turn back into a regular forward weave. That makes one complete fountain! Smile

lol i was messing about with sock poi the other day and i thought id come up with sumthing new and cool. it involved a 3 beat wave with a inside arm during the transmition. was just browsing the tuition page nd realised it was 1/2 a barrel roll (but with out the bit where u let it wrap over your hands, i just let them spin indipendently) ^_^' lol
