Jesus man that's savage!!
Well you know how it is, these managers prefer the cheaper labour!
There's this farm near me which is dubbed "Student Village" Foreign Students live and work there for next to nothing, like seriously near pittance.
They are living in rows upon rows of dirty and cramped mobile huts, they have to work picking in an orchard day after day man, it's sick.
The council near me said their putting a stop to it...about two years ago, still nothing has happened! |

Ah, don't mind me... I'm still bitter that Gordon Bloody Brown took away student grants just in time for me to go to University and get into debt. And then to kick me in the teeth by reintroducing them now.
Plus, now he's the pm. I didn't vote for him...
[/rant]
*ahem*
And I thought the same thing Felix... Though in present day NZ, it's only Maori women who do poi. Though that could be good or bad, depending... |

God man that sucks!! *hugs*....wait....
*manly pats on the back*
No man that seriously blows, these PM's always have a knack at annoying people some way or another, I know it's their job to and all, but can't, like, a decent one come along once in a while!?
Stuff like that gets on my nerves
Recently the council put up the amount we have to pay on our mortgage for some inane reason, but it means my parents had to sacrifice a holiday to NZ so that they can get this mortgage paid ASAP |

Yeah, too right!
And pretty much all of these financial things have something to do with Mr Brown. Inheritance tax was the biggest slap in the face the government could have delivered, and all to help fund the blowing up of things in other countries.
We've had a few decent politicians. Just most of them recently are faceless paperchasers who care more about ambiguous wordings and inane policies than about actually governing a country.
When a politician actually says something that makes me want to get involved, then maybe I'll get involved again. Most recently, I've not even known the name of any local candidates. If they don't care enough to make themselves known, I don't care enough to find out who they are, frankly.
Man... this is turning into a bit of a ranting thread, isn't it? At this rate, someone might have a valid reason to use the word antidisestablishmentarianism... |

Antidisestablishmentarianism? Are we really heading to the use of that word?
It's all getting a little heavy in here.
Politics is annoying, what gets me now is that noone in charge seems to have any ideals or backbone for that matter.
Pulling policy U-turn and backpeddling, every time the press harp up.
Oops went on a rant again. |

I dub this thread the government ranting thread!! lol
Yeah that word is a little to letter friendly for my liking, could be worse, could lead to a harsh case of the pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism...thats the longest word that I have heard lol, other than the ones on the back of shower gel bottles hehehe!
It just seems these days that if the government are bleeding us dry with cheaper labour and increased taxes they are happy, anything we do that can disrupt that (Bio Fuels) is scorned upon and is an offense! But why tho!? I mean doesn't the government support a green policy still? How the hell is chip fat oil damaging the fragile eco system that Britain has left.
Which brings me onto the next point, bloody housing cropping up everywhere! in three places in my town there are huge housing developments, there was even going to be one in the fields next to me but luckily council officials live next to that field and stopped it (which is unfair in the long run because it means they get favoritism in the matter!)
It's official that there are next to no brown belt left in Kent, I'm just waiting to see how far outside of Kent this extends!!

Yeah, what's that all about? No one can afford to buy the ones that already exist, so they decide to build more. Yeah, that's a good idea. |

I dunno man but I frankly hate waking up in the morning, following me normal morning routine I'll just hang out of me window for like 20 mins and wake up a bit before I do anything:P (anyone else here do that lol) but yeah it kind of sickens me to see three construction sites from my window.
There's also been the shopping development in town which, although I spose it isn't that bad, it still means so many shops have gone out of business in Canterbury high street, like the "Extreme" store, Fopp has closed down, one of the nicest buildings was converted into a clothes shop which looks now budget and crap.
It's just mental really! I don't understand why they feel the need to build all this housing, I mean to be fair, yeah the population is still increasing, but we can't just keep building and building!
You know those huge ugly grey apartment towers in London? you know their planning on re-opening that program again because of the mass of population growth lol |

Is this going to turn into a long word thread in a bit.
They say there's a housing shortage, not sure how true that is.
I also heard they were considering allowing building on green belt land.
No tower blocks please. |
