Crazy Poi Ideas

Sticking this thread here as kinda a fun poke at poi but in a good way. Also YAY design thread....

I would like people to write about the crazy stuff that you could spin with, good eamples of this are things that come in pairs like shoes....
Or create something unique by using two of something but just remember to keep it practical.

If you feel like the madness just grasps you and decide to film your crazy poi invention in use, you could also post it here along with the logistics of the idea.

So go crazy and get thinking of some crazy things that you could poi with!

God there's so much!

Fish, just grab them at the end of the tail and you got some awesome slippery poi that you could even slap people with should they annoy the hell out of you!

I have been working on mobile phone poi which can play music as well as flashing lights.....

Finding two models that are alike is the difficult part, and also finding working models has been tricky.

I have been told that when two barred phones become avaliable I will be able to carry out my dreams of swinging mobile phones around while playing music and flashing lights. Granted they might not work for too long with a few knocks but it will be fun to try.

That would be awesome! Tho the music would sound really funny as the poi went round lol.

I never really discovered why! It's the same when you hear sirens go past, if it's coming towards you it's higher pitched and as soon as it goes past it's lower pitch...confusion!! nutty

Another one you could use is those Thunder Tubes. You know the ones you get, you shake them and the little spring at the bottom makes the thunder noise in the tube! Would sound funky and if you had some lights attached!

hahaha could you not platt them all together to make and uber lace/snake style poi?

apples in carrier bags works a treat lol and when your done you can eat the apples Smile

Trouble is if you accidentally drop them or clap them together the apples go all squishy and horrible! Lol:P
Oranges are fairly more sturdy with their tough outer skin:P

now i am the proud owner of not 1 but 2 poipoi keyrings i used them to show my friend my 5 bt.
Had to attach on to her laynard but it was cool.

Umbrellas sounded pretty weird!

i have also been known to poi with my scarf!
