hey man dont worry about it, play is a festival which is a 5day event costing about £35 a ticket (well worth it). The festival is basically a mass meet up of spinners in uk! usually about 4 - 500 people. They have workshops over 3 days and fire performances at night from the pro's plus renegade nights, live music and general uber-meganess! i would recommend it to anyone who spins at any level! i learnt more stuff in that 5 days than i did in 6months! The reason why im posting so early is because no-one from this forum went so im reminding them every week until they are nice and annoyed with me mwhahaha

| nope website not even been updated ya know im gonna be greatly disapointed if you ALL dont come (unless u have a good excuse the more creative the better - like u left a banana skin outside your car door and then an owl picked it up dropped it on your head and it the process of trying to funkily manipulate this banana skin off your head you strain you finger in a rare way that you have to see a russian doctor who specialises in said area of strain injuries and the only days he is available is the last weekend of july - then i might forgive you.....maybe) |

hmmmmmm maybe, but if u gotta walk round the world its gonna take u longer than a month to do it? so if you set off now and just wear a coat you will be back in time for play with said prototype s-staff and you can sell the design and make lots of money to buy a portable heater. blagged methinks |

My excuse would most likely be...
"In an excited uncontrollable rage I acquired a couple of the first fresh from the print tickets in a game of chance with an old husky looking gentleman who was a printer by profession. In the end he won but I mugged him anyways and took what was rightfully mine!
Then obviously I had the police on my case so I had to find a place to stash the tickets before the old man blabbered his mouth off the the police about it in the interview.
I took the tickets to my great grans house in Wales knowing that it would be safe there as she has memory deficiency and can't remember her own sons name!
Handing her the tickets and explaining why she had to hold onto them.
She would have forgotten in a day anyways, long enough for her to forget so when the Police eventual would turn up she'd know nothing about it and curse them out of the house.
Days later following my escape the Police did eventually turn up at her house. She, as I had expected, totally forgot about the tickets and where in the house I'd hidden them and cursed the police out of the door, again as I expected.
Days after that when I knew the heat was off I returned to my grans house only to find that she had found the tickets I thought I had so cunningly hidden. In the middle of a computer manual.
She waved them about in the air demanding to know what they were. I had to have them so I went for the tickets. In our struggle she passed out. Concerned for the health of my Great Gran I called an ambulance. They arrived on scene and took her and the tickets to the hospital.
She was taken to theater, tickets still in hand. But due to her age of 93 she passed away. Of nothing more than old age.
I ran into the room saddened by this horrible chain of events...but the tickets were right in front of me. But, by which point the Rigor Mortis had set into her hands. Unable to pry the tickets free and with substantial enough respect for those passed to not claw them out of her hand with a crow bar.
I called a mortician hoping they could pry the tickets free leaving me free from guilt. They did but then the tickets got confiscated during the police investigation as evidence.
The evidence was locked away in a police vault and I had no other way of getting to the precious items.
The trial was set to be two weeks before the event. So my thoughts was if I could win my case in the two weeks I could take the tickets back declaring that they were actually legally mine.
The trial ran on for two weeks as I expected. But due to my impatient nature I ran for the tickets when they were displayed as evidence and I was held in Contempt of Court. I was sent to prison for a week which meant I missed the festival."
I think that's a pretty solid excuse! |
