|
|
Over the past few weeks I have just been cooking random stuff that takens my fancy and Im getting really good at cooking food.
Right now I am eating chestnuts (before christmas) because their the best kind of nut, all scrummy and warm inside.
I thought, this afternoon I might go down on the beach and pick some winkles for the cooking. I remember winkles being part of our stable diet as kids because it was free and pretty quick to cook.
Is there anything wierd that you would admit to eating either now or in your childhood? |

Ahhhh the humble winkle! Was rarely fed those back in the day!
I've eaten snails in my time on a visit to Belgium. They were...interesting to say the least but were in no way presentable! Lol! Their not the tastiest but not disgusting either. If it were mixed with other foods instead of served on their own then I guess they would be pretty good!
But it leaves an odd funny feeling in your mouth afterwards. As well as a slight feeling of guilt. Those poor snails had no hope in chance of even defending themselves or running from the evil chefs! |

Check out this place!
I've had salt n vinegar crickets before... They were nice. Bit like wotsits only crispier. Chilli meal worms are delicious too.
Other than that... I know I've mentioned black pudding before too. I'm also a big fan of haggis. |

| Someone get me that 24 Karat Lollypop off that site, looks well nice. Goldshlager has got gold flecks in it so when you drink the gold makes tiny incisions in your throat allowing the alcohol into the bloodstream easier! |

| Not sure about the incisions thing, but I do enjoy a shot of goldschlager every once in a while. Always looks pretty behind the bar with the swirly thing in it, too... |
