movement is one of them things that just comes naturally over time and the movement will be a big part of your individual style Smile

but if you want to practice what ever space you have to practice in move about every bit of it! jump, kneel, breakdance do anykind of movement with your legs you can think of even if you look silly cos it will open up new avenues in your head Smile

yeh being able to turn with moves does indeed help as your not limited to one plane Smile

Break dancing poi would be amazing!

Yeah it's just something you gotta learn at the end of the day. Moving with music is the best way I found. Looking at people stand still takes the magic of it away!

So yeah get a good track list that has varied beat speeds. For example "Massive Attack" and "Felix da Housecat" both great artists and between them I thought the speed of their music is fairly diverse!

i think you could crip-walk and do poi lol it would look well funny Smile

all you need to practice footwork is a move where you can 360 like reel turns or fw + bw weave then you could turn between them Smile

movement doesn't have to be side to side or whatever. it can be big arms or crouching down.

maybe try just to exaggerate the directions, like do everything in giant, or when the poi are above your head stretch your arms and body up looooads. and when they're near the floor go down on your knees like.

morning all :D

Lol if you want ideas of just how exaggerated you COULD go. Look up Dave Elsewhere on Youtube lol. He's about as insane as you could probably get!
