OK, well I think I have almost got how you do a five beat, but I still can't get it quite right, every time I go for an extra beat, my arms can't twist around each other any more if you get what I mean.
Sorry if that makes no sense, thats just how I am  |

Ok, so take your hands off your keyboard and hold them together, back to back. This is pretty much the hand position you'll need to be able to 5-beat. Remember too, during the crossover, your hands will be the opposite way around to in a 3-bt. In other words, in a 3-beat, your left hand is the first to go over to your right side (and vice versa). In 5-bt, it's the poi in your right hand that needs to be the first over to your right side (and vice versa).
Don't try twisting at the elbows. That just doesn't work.
