sorted Smile i would learn some more butterfly varients. Start with angel wings then do low and high take outs and mix em all together Smile. once u confident with that try turning with your butterflyness then you will be able to get a nice flow between em Smile

can you do transitions between weave and butterfly?

There are all kinds of transition moves which are useful to learn, the first step I'd say is wraps.

Let the poi wrap around a body part (I don't recommend the neck) give it a gentle pull and it will unwind and spin in the opposite direction. I say learn these first because they are relatively easy to get to grips with, and get you used to the poi changing direction.

I personally prefere stalls to wraps, they look cleaner (IMO, but i have seen some very nice wrapping routines).

To stall spin the poi backwards - so its going behind you at the top - (for this example I'll use backward spinning because it's easier to see whats happening, but the pricipal is the same in either direction) as it reaches the bottom of its circle extend your arm, and the poi will point straight out infront of you. As your arm reaches full extension pull your arm back and continue spinning, and it will have changed direction....I wish i had a video camera Rolling Eyes

hope this helps, if not, come to canterbury and I'll teach you myself Smile

as for other moves to learn, Corkscrew, Reels, Chasing the Sun, Butterfly varients, and Isolations
