hi im new to poi and am looking to buy a set of, but im a bit stuck....i dont know whether to get sock poi or tail poi(cobra II).

could you please to me the pros/cons for each so i can make a decsion.

hi there!

ok tails look very pretty but the tails that make them look pretty sometimes hinder learning as they clash and become tangled. Tails will also come with fingerloops which will give you a bit more control than the way you grip sock poi but that is personal preference!

socks are the best practice poi IMO as they are cheap, maybe dont look as pretty but can be made to, many poi'es who have been poi'in years still use these personally they are still my favorite to use as you will see when your poi develops further that some tricks are alot easier with these such as hyperloops!.

Personally i would go for socks, they are the best for learning on and im sure lots of ppl will agree.
BUT you can make your own socks very simply! usually for under a 5ver!

and then if you have enough dollar left over buy yourself some tails as well! :P
