Hi. I'm new to the forums and sort of new to poi. New in that I still can't do anything beyond a basic cross and uncross (sort of like almost a weave), but I've been trying a for years and I have 6 sets of poi. nutty

I got hooked when I watched a friend spinning fire poi at a few VW shows one year, got whacked in the head a few times too and discovered that kevlar is just un-necessarily hard, so started buying softer poi.....and didn't stop.

Anyway, I just felt the need to come and nose around in here for a while, and who knows, maybe I'll even manage to master a trick or two!

Hey, thanks for the tip - it worked - I can do 3 beat weave forwards now. :D Should have come here ages ago!

It was all sorts of VW shows we go to - air, water, bug and van. Mostly in the north west and the midlands, though. Never been to vanfest, but want to go every year. Deva dubs n Rods is my favourite, though.

what to Vanfest? *tries really hard to ignore the juvenile comment in the head*
Yeah, I agree VW shows can be overdone. you get to a point where you've seen one you've seen em all. Doesn't stop you wanting summer to hurry up so you can go hang out at car shows though! :D
