|

Heya everyone! Due to recent brainwaves and ranting it's been decided that a poipoi camping trip be organized!! Now the key things to get this ball rolling as well as all of the others is:
1) Definite Attendants - Who's going? If you're interested post up. Then later on we can make a final confirmation if you CAN make it! Not make idle promises that suddenly turn into you ducking out at the last second which ruins it entirely and defeats the point of this list!
Interested Attendants - Note that this is just a list of people that are INTERESTED! People who are confirmed will be marked in red
- 13
- AJ
- Daedra
- Felixwah
- Fixat1on
- Lifejunkie
- MagsKat
- Ridrequiem (Marsh)
2) Where do we want to go? - I'm open to suggestions and will post a poll of all of the suggestions. The most voted will be the decisive location!
Suggestions
- The Lakes (AJ)(Dae)(Felix)(13)
- Newquay (Mags)
3) When do you want to do it? - Timing is key here. We all want generally nice weather I'm assuming. Plus we also have to dodge other dates that would clash Ect. as well as other people commitments!
Suggestions
- August Time due to school and college holidays
- I think the general consensus is that it be in the
summer. Mags can't do it in Aug or Oct so maybe July?
4) Cost - As it's camping all you need is a tent, food for the duration of the stay unless we go completely wild and live off of the land! Eating rabbit on an open camp fire yummmm!!!!
5) List of stuff to bring - If a brief summary of what kind of gear and things you need to bring? I'm not too good at this as I tend to over pack a massive suitcase! Which isn't overly practical!
6) Anything I've missed? - What the name suggests! :P

OK my two pence on this one.
Best time for most i think would be august. I know people go on holidays and such but it give people in college and school a better chance of making it.
Location, for me has to be the Lakes. There is some beautiful places to camp there
Cost is minimal, tents can be borrowed etc.
Im definatly a prelim yes for this one. sounds like a grand idea (obviously since it was my idea ) |

Yarrr. I know a kick ass campsite up there. They mainy serve to scouts, but they also do businesses. Im guessing poipoi counts.
Its where i spent all my summer =]

never been there, but i have seen pictures and it looks amazing.
cant imagine what it must be like to poi up there, over looking a lake spinning some fire, with the kettle whistling over the fire behind you. ahhh. im gonna be annoyed if i cant make this.
Only option for me and fixat1on is train really..
And thats not going to be convinent at all.
But come to think of it, a friend of mine should of passed his driving by then!! and we are gradually getting him into poi. mwahahaha |

Well the good news is its pretty close to windermere train station. And if were booking as a business, then the GT mini bus can be ordered to pick you up
ITs funny you say that LJ. There is a spot up there called tower rock which would make some beautiful piccies. One of the highest spots there, and overlooks Windermere.
And even better is, it may be a 5 minute walk from camp centre, but there is a camping spot just up there |

The journey time for me and fixat1on to get up there by train is 5 hours and 26 minutes
gonna need to put a lot of planning into this..
