Poi Documentary! Please Help If You Can!

Hey

I live in Liverpool and I'm going to be starting my final project for college in about 3 weeks and I've decided to do a documentary on Poi.

I am willing to travel to Manchester and the likes to get my footage but I was wondering if there were any volunteers to be part of this documentary? You'd appear in the credits and I'd put a copy of it up on YouTube and post the link here. If you're interested let me know okay?

i know at least me and 3 of my friends would be interested in doing it mate Smile

we all live in manc (well near enuf) but if you need me travel to liverfool i will man as its only 30mins on the train from where i live. Im sure claire (rid requiem) would be interesed as well.

I didn't expect so many replies! Thanks!

It's going to be a few weeks before I actually start any filming.

I'm on half term at the moment this week and next then I will be editing another project before I can start my final project.

I have to come up with a script and permissions and book equipment out before I can actually go anywhere and film.

I just needed to know who'd be able to do it. Either Liverpool or Manchester would be fine... just if it's Manchester someone's going to have to be my guide hehe Laughing

Yay! I'm getting excited now! I've only got one day left for my other college project then I can start the planning pre-production side of it! So who is definitely willing to be put on camera? As part of my pre-production work I'm going to have to have permissions for you to be on camera and where and when you'd practice, because I also have to be aware of any possible risks involved ie busy streets, fire, making sure equipment doesn't get stolen. Ya know basic stuff! It'll probably be a few weeks before I can get to any of the filming side of it. I'm going to have to bring a stills camera with me to get key shots of different locations for floor plans and story board updates. It's going to be a lot of work! So not to be mean or anything, but if you really want to do this then you have to... well swear your allegiance to the poi documentary. Bear in mind that it's not just going to be me filming footage of you practicing/spinning etc, I'll be asking questions and getting interviews from you wonderful artists. I'll keep in touch with those who'll help out and give you heads up on what those interviews/questions might be, ok? Thanks!

Once it's complete I would be willing to give any and all involved a copy of it to do whatever they wanted to with! If after all that you'd be cool with be in the documentary then let me know!
