yah so i spun for an hour today and mastered nothing, thus it occured to me perhaps there should be a general poi practice topic whre you can just chat about the last time u spun and mabye ask advice or chat about what could be done.
so say i 'let this topic be open (and hopefully pinned) and let there be trivial discussion by all'. |

so yah im posting seperately so that the original orientation of the thread remains clear and uncluttered by my 'today's poi. (humm maybe 'today's spin' would have been better? ah well.
span for the hour or so on my playlist of spinning its mainly music i like mixed with a little techno dance from the animmatrix ost. i mucked about with all my moves a bit but mainly i was working on plain level (actually stoon in a corridor'y' bit between a house wall and a garden wall to try and level them. not having the greatest success there as the wall only stops the poi spining too far forwards.
also tried to get isolations going but no real joy there have realised i have a tendancy to do an isolation when switching through inside and outisde plain in a 3beat weave (i always thought it looked really cool) can anyone offer advice for this as im haveing real troubble i figured its not ment to go in the oposite direction (antispin) but even meenik tutorial hasnt helped yet. maybe im being impatient?
humm other stuf i started playing with throws while trying to not let it effect my other poi (shame my brain only send commans on mass) and i tried to get a backwards out to in to out 3bt weave going havent been able to go left out to in to out yet but meh i always suck going that way.
in other news my 5bt weave's getting really smooth i still need to work on keeping the speed constant but i did it with my eyes closed and it felt natural (YAY) |
