I've noticed some people do the butterfly in an "inwards from top" motion and some in an "inwards from bottom" motion.
Hard to describe how I mean, but does any of these make it harder to do some swings?

I've got alot easier to get into the inwards from top motion than the bottom one, think thats mainly because thats what I'm used to doing, although when I finally manage to get into the other spin I can get them both over my head and back. So I'm really confused at the moment.

Also wanted to ask another little thing, while doing the inwards from top motion I find my right hand on top(a bit in the front) and dominating, should this be inverted for the other motion with the left hand dominating??

Sorry for explaining so wierd but I consider myself extremly new to this so thats my excuse Wink

Right- I think you mean forward and reverse butterfly. ad to your other question- it doesn't matter which hand goes on top- if it works it works
