I have... a tactic.
For the musically orientated people here (as they are the only ones who are going to know what I'm spouting about)
If you're learning a 3 beat weave, be it forwards, backwards, behind the back... And you're finding keeping the timing hard:
Hum a Waltz!
The timing for a waltz, as we all know, is 3:4, so it goes bom bom bom, bom bom bom. I know what I'm talking about. Just listen to one, you can feel the rhythm. FEEL IT.
3 beats in a bar = perfect for a 3 beat weave.
It seems to be working... heh.... |

i read the mesg about humming a waltz or similar 3 beat music when trying 2 do a 3beat weave... i am musical and find that this also works for a 5 beat weave... try "Mission Impossible" theme... it is in 5 beat time... i cant think of any more 5 beat examples that ppl would kno but il write bak if i find any...

| this really works. i play the violin and when learning a complicated piece of music i would always tap my foot to the beat and say "one, two, three, one, two, three" and it works the same for poi. i've been humming my own three beat tunes, just making up a three beat melody and going over and over again. havnen't started learning 5 bt yet but will try mission impossible... especially as it might be!! |
