Yep yep
I'm in a group called Hastings Spin, as surprisingly enough - we all live in Hastings.
We do gigs at pubs and clubs and things.
And I'm not sure if you know of the De La Warr Pavillion? Famous-ish building in Bexhill that got an 8million pound refurbishment. We span at the re-opening of that last year. 2000 people watching you spin is one of the most nerve racking things I've ever done!
Basically we had meets in the local park, more people got interested, word got around and we started doing gigs
We now have super cool t-shirts, with our names on that make us look oh-so-professional
On saturday some of us are spinning in the Hastings bonfire night parade. 50000 people in total will be there :D

For me its just all about having fun
And that it is for sure, although I'm just a happy amateur so thats not so strange either
Would be a nice extra job I guess, making money doing something you even like doing for free :P |

You're right the pay does vary.
We're currently unisured, so we can't exactly demand an exact payment, so we give our 'clients' so to speak a rough number and its up to them how much they give us.
We gone from being paid in beer, to a tenner each, to up to 50 over the past year.
Just have to keep working for it! |
