I think the people who make these laws are people who dont actually have kids or anything. They just assume that its better this way, that kids are being hurt mentally or physically by things.

Its the same with calling christmas the "winter festival" so it doesnt upset other religions. Very few people of other religions have any problem with christmas being called christmas. Its just people think that other people are being offended when they are not.

congratulations on that...

Confused

though half of me thinks we're going health and safety mad, the other half thinks we're all turning into wimps who have to make a fuss about anything, which provokes these new laws...
I mean, the things people are suing for, and all these adverts telling people to claim money for bad luck, I just want to slap them and tell them to get the hell over it! even those who play football - a game where 22 men sprint around an area of grass with spikes on their shoes, all flailing and kicking out of a piece of leather at the same time get far too competitive - are turning into little girls (no offence, ladies) who cry whenever they trip up. so, seeing their hero's fake injuries, kids do the same, and so begins the chain reaction.

*sigh*...

but yeah, I do parkour (I may have mentioned! =P) and when we're out training, if we fall over, we make sure everything fits together, mop up the blood and move on. not because we're super heroes (though, we are, we help mothers with prams and everything) but because it's so commonplace that we ignore it.

so bring back the cane into schools and we can bring up a generation who get on with pain!! Wink
