Hi ppl. I recently managed to slightly do the btb weave. I got the arm cross and uncross part, but for some reason I keep on hitting my legs with my poi. I am able to do the btb weave for about 2-4 reps before banging my leg.
Any tips? |

| yeah, i found a good way to do the btb weave is by stepping forward slowly as you're doing it.. it gives you more room behind your back as you move your legs forward. still takes practise to time it right though.. hope that helps! |

| It took me ages to learn BTB weave- I found it useful to use a stick to get the hand action right- It is less 'wild' than poi and gives you a chance to see what you are doing! |

Hi there!
I'm trying BTB weave, but i don't even know where is the best movement to start from.. At the moment I'm just trying to do it from backwards swinging... but obviously it doesn't work..
Does anybody knows what's the best way to start with?
I know, I can't explain myself very well in English, : ) |

HELLO!!!!
Welcome to the forum- BTB weave is tricky to learn- you start from a reverse 2 beat weave.
Then you try with one of the poi and (swinging in reverse) you put your hand behind your back as the poi reachs the top of its swing- allowing it to drop and swing frowards on the opposite side of your body.
Then try with the other poi. Once you can do it fairly well you can try them together- using a staff (or even an umbrella!!!) helps to get the movement right.
There is a good tutorial in the tuition section on the site!!!! Have a look and give it a go!!!
Good luck!!! |

| try leaning forward when doin it it helps to make it easier for the arms and when you get better you can just do it standing straight i have just learnt to 7bt btb and 5bt forwards btb the forwards btb is alot harder than the reverse but is good because you can then turn with it and that looks mad. i find the easiest entry is to bring your right hand btb over to your left then add your left hand into it. hope that helps a little bit i remember it took me ages to get it. |

BTB is so much fun!
I´m still a little unconfident with btb forwards, but reverse is no problem and I can do a few each side forwards and turn around to do it in reverse which i love cos it looks mad! |
