You mean the huge uprights with no markers?
Cuz I'm no where near good enough to get the right notes on those. Massive respect to you if you can play them.
And anyone who can play them, and any other unmarked fretless. |

No i just meant a normall acoustic.
I cant play fretless acoustic, just normal.
I just assumed you were talking about ekletics as you were talking about pedals.
Question for you! Do you agree that acoustics are harder to play than electrics? |

Ah now I get which acoustic you mean :D
Yes, I do agree that acoustics are harder to play, but thats just based on playing acoustic guitars.
But you can get a nicer sound from them |

Yeah.
I think one of the main problems with electric is that anyone can plug it in and play something under the lines of

{the spacing goes a bit pooed when i post but you get the drift}
with a load of effects added to it and it sounds good.
And there you have a backing guitar part to songs like makedamnsure and Last Summer.
Easy
Harder to do on an acoustic and still make it sound good. |

Yup, even without pedals, the amp does all the work.
It's only really the classics and funk that seem to have great basslines now.
Anywho, I'm still waiting on £20 I lent to my mate. Only two weeks late, but I'm gonna be in Biristol all weekend and need to stock up on glowsticks lol |

I thought of another peeve forum-whores :P
Sorry to break the blossoming relationship.
The other night I went shooting, and there were a lot of us, and I being the most qualified of the shooters was asked to supervise the nuuubs.
The competence of some of these kids with a firearm is truly disturbing, but mostly it was fine. Just make sure they keep it down the range heh. O__O scary stuff.
Anyway, some of the kids were like, 13, and a bit weedy, and some of the kids were struggling to hold the weapon, but most managed, I mean they've got to learn right?
Then I was supervising this one girl, whom my superior had asked me to 'hold the rifle for her'. As you can imagine, this is difficult when the kid is lying on their front.
So I, quite annoyed as the position i was in holding this rifle was painful, said rather disgruntledly:
"Look, you've got to learn to hold this thing. People wont keep holding it for you."
To which she informed me that 'I really hurt my arm the other day though!"
So I just came out with it and went 'Then you should really BE shooting should you. Arms are involved, and its dangerous."
She was a bit disheartened but jesus. The lack of common sense.
Anyone else got any lack-of-common-sense stories to share? |

Al time peeve goes something like this....
Q. "How do I change the air filter on my Passat?"
A. "Google it, mate!"
So, my peeve is the people who think that saying "Google" as the answer to a question is in any way helpful. |

Having to leave the Youth Hostel in Bristol :(
Met some really nice people there, had a great time :D I should be keeping in touch with them though
Also should be working for the YHA over the summer, if I get a job that is :p
I hate the google it line. It's like there isn't any other way of searching, and also how were supposed to know EVERYTHING from a google serch ¬_¬
The same people also don't realise that wikipedia can be edited by anyone.
Also, this comes in under lack of common sense. Woo for linkage :D |

im pissed off now! for three consecutive days, when this one guy offers me a cup of tea at work, usually i make the tea, but sometimes i let someone else do the tea round, anyways, this guy offers me a tea, so naturally i say "yes please! i'll have it strong with two sugars" and every bloody time he insists on giving me a coffee when it pretty much makes me heave!!
i litterally cant drink the stuff and it makes me breath smell funny lol, so it becomes a waste of good water and sugar and milk in my eyes! and also while im at it my brand new sock poi are gonna take two weeks to deliver! and i wanted them by this saturday dammit! and my internets being as slow as a bloody sloth! arrggghh!! rage!! im never accepting a "tea" from that guy again tho. But! aside from all the rage im happy cause i have successfully aquired 14 albums in three days! |
