hey all! yes im back with another weave problem, i've been trying to do 7 beats, but the only way i can think it can be done is crossing your elbows then your hands, but its such an un-natural position for your arms to be in, and was just wondering if there was another way of doing them
thanks all!! |

Yes this is an un-natural position for your arms to be in.
This is why this puts the 7 beat weave in the 'ugly moves' category.
Can you honestly say learning 7 beat weave will help improve your spinning as a whole?
At the end of the day you end up looking like a spazz with your arms tied up, and the timing is almost always off because of this.
The only people I know who do 7 beat weave purely use it in their spinning to show off...
Learn it, for self satisfaction if you wish, then put it in the ugly corner.

Aimee.....do i sense some 7bt biterness nah seriously... it is a show off move but can be used very nicely if you don't rush it....keep it slow and don't rush it across your body, which is where a lot of mistakes are made the quicker it's spun the more ridiculous it looks in my opinion. other than that...... |

| it is a bit of a show off move, but ive seen one or two videos and this guy did it so fluently it looked pretty awesome, then he did nine beats...but i think ill leave that until i got fwd and rev 7 beats down, yeah i think your right tony, doing it quick does make it look bad, like the guru thaitom says! "Slow is perfect but fast is ugly!" those words have helped me achieve many moves since lol:P so i assume other than a wrap theres no other way to do 7 beats? |

Arg, 9bw is stupid, stupid stupid stupid!
I also celebrate when fairly new poiers learn the wrist stop from weave to butterfly.
Gone are the days of looking like you've got punched in the stomach as you go from weave, to split time by your sides, to parallel time, to LAUNCHING yourself into butterfly.
It's a learning curve though, nobody gets away with never going through that phase heh. |

| yeh its so tru jayne, i disagree that crossers are ugly tho maybe if you repeat them over n over but if you intergrate them into ur weave. |

| i dont mind crossers to much, but i dont use them by preferance really, if im showing someone how to do a couple of tricks (two friends of mine are learning) i'll take them through it, even if it is ugly. |
