trying to learn BTB 3bt

can get main movements but not sustain momentum with out poi going astray to pianful private area.

help?

Start with the poi on one side and then go into it, then once you've nailed the motion, work on getting into it from rev 3bw etc.

i.e., have your right hand by your right side, and your left hand wrapped around your back just behind your right hand before you start.

Then swing your right hand up and out and round to your left hand side
Once your right poi is travelling up on your left hand side, bring your left hand back round to follow it.
As your left arm gets to the top of it's circle on your left side, make sure you force your right hand to stay round the left side for an extra spin, and bring your left arm OVER your right arm behind you, and then begin the cycle on the opposite side.

When you do it, twist your torso and hips (almost contortedly lol) the opposite way to the side your poi are on.
eg. When poi are spinning on right side, torso should be facing your left side.
Switch the twist of your torso when your hand leads to another side, i.e. when you've finished your 3 beats on the right and you go to left. Twist then.

hehe yeah makes sense ill have anover go later with sock poi. 2day my friends were buying me a birthday presant and they found poi flags but didnt have enough to get me them but thats what i aim for just so when im down hte green i can look styled.

Flags look good, but they actually severely limit your spinning! Cos of their air resistance you cant do a lot of moves cos they slow you down too much etc. But they do look purdy in the sun.

yeah thats y i want em coz im always down the green and techical moves dont look as good to passers by but slow moves with flags do.

yes but not during the day time when htey look kinda wierd. pi flags look sweet, at night hten nightburst or fire poi if you realy wanna show off

well i spose you could be using UV flags near black light, thats what i do and i do get an awful lot of "oooh!"'s and "ahhh!"'s be funny if you could get fire flags ; ) you know im actually crazy enough to try that lol right after i finish my swords

yeah! you can get fire flags i saw a picture of a guy using them. or thats what it said it may of been the rope of wick things?

i just nailed BTB 3bt yay!

He was probably using Fire snakes or 'wall of fire' poi, they are amazing. And flags are fantastic!!! At the mo am trying 5bt btb- its tricky but i am getting it!
