I really want to learn it though!
It's some sort of circular move, but it's kind of like the wheels of a train.
It's the first thing Josh is doing in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOhF3hFAOzU
What the hell is it and how do you do it?
Thanks in advance! |

I just found out that they are isolations, and that there are a TON of discussions on them in various places. |

| Well, they look freakin' awesome to me! I have to work a bit on my range of motion in my shoulders so I can get going with the flowers. In the meantime, I'm just practicing the movement really slowly. |

very good idea. Doing it slowly makes it work so well. It's just annoying that you can't practice some moves slow cos you need tension or whatever - dayum!!!
Isolations ROCK MY SOCKS and you will get them, and when someone says 'show me a move' you just pull an isolated buzzsaw out of the trick bag in your brain and whomever it is will love it.
Flowers made me really appreciate poi because you start off doing something which seems totally insane, and then you end up doing said insane movement with ease. It's nice to think that such a simple object could have improved your co-ordination and range of movement so much. |
