OCD is a very interesting 'disorder' but i think we all have bits of it. Whether it's a strong preference of something, or just an odd habit. What kind of OCD habits do you have?
By the way, it's not supposed to be real OCD, where you get edgy if you don't do the thing, but just things you'd rather do than not do.
Maybe add your superstitions as well?
I usually find myself counting steps of a staircase. It just gives me satisfaction knowing that I know how many steps there are in that staircase.
A superstition: I don't like to walk over 3 drain covers or 'CATV' covers in a row (block of 3) on the pavement. Bad luck. |

my mates all think im a bit mental and have got ocd coz of my eating habits.well not eating habits but just the way i like food to be.
for example
if u go to the chippy and u order cheesy chips i like them to be built in a certain way. its not coz i think the food will taste any different but just how i like it.
i like to have in the bottom of the box/tray a layer of grated cheese then the portion of chips on top and then more cheese on top of that.
the reason for this is i cant see the point of having cheesy chips if all ur chips arent cheesy u mite aswell have just plain chips. with cheese just on the top u eat it all befor u get to the underneath chips meaning theres no cheese left for the covering of those chips. if u have cheese at the bottom as u work ur way thru the chips there is always cheese in every mouthful....therefore creating a complete portion of cheesy chips not just sum cheese on top of a few chips and then a portion of plain chips
now call me mental if u will....but it makes sense to me.
also i cant have sandwiches cut diagonally they r just hard to hold. that counts for toast too! |

i dont think thats crazy at all! another example, and yes this is bizarre, my toothbrush absolutely HAS to be put back in the right hole where it came from, some morenings i get lazy and leave the toothbrush next to the sink for when i go back in to sort myself out, but every time i get near the bathroom door all i can think about is the bloody toothbrush, it compells me to creep back before i even leave and put it to where its mean to go.
also speaking of eating habbitts, people think im crazy cause i can just munch on a full bag or currents and sultanas! i mean i just sit there and eat them and their like "my god your weird!" and ketchup sandwiches as well! i love 'em i do, four at a time keeps my belly AND my tastebuds happy! but again people call me mad for doing it! |

at last someone who aggrees!
but about the toast, i like mine in all shapes and sizes, and it depends whats in it, if is jame/peanutbutter/choccie spread, ill just have the two slices but not in a sandwich style
if it a breakfast toast, ie bacon eggs, beans and sausies, i have it in the form of a sandwich, not cut, well, sometimes i cut them into triangles and squares and rectangles, but it doesnt do much for me! |

If im having a breakfast sandwich then i have to toast mine slightly.
Stops the runny yolk of the egg making the bread all mushy :D |
