I've never said this before, because it's truly unhelpful - but hyperloop is one of those moves where you just gotta practice practice practice.
You're doing the 'basic' one right? Not the one where you keep it spinning in the middle. The only thing I can really say to help the basic hyperloop is to make sure you keep tension as you cross your body by pulling reeeeeeeeeally gently apart with your hands. |

Once they tangle, there is two beats until you can take it out the otherside. This means if you are doing a fowards weave and doing a hyperloop from right to left, push your right hand over your left when the right poi swings up on its second rotation. As soon as they tangle, keep those hands apart!
Hope that makes some sense! |

okay the best tips on hyperloops i can give is to enter the hyperloop from a weave and by doing an eclipse but only split it half the size of a regular eclipse. this helps them catch each other... then just drag them across your body
then *if your going from right to left* as the poi in the left hand reaches the bottom of its spin your right hand should push a little bit further over the left which will unlatch the poi from the tangle!!
then hold the poi there for another beat and repeat :D
hope that that helps!!! |
